In 1996, the company bought the 70-hectares farm named Las Mercedes, located in Santa Lucía, district of San Pedro, with the goal of building a feedlot. This was the starting point for the building, with family capital, of a facility with an initial capacity of 6,000 heads of cattle to provide the holding service at its100% capacity.

Today, Las Mercedes covers 141 hectares, has 90 fattening pens which provide holding services for 15,000 cattle; and, like in its beginnings, it is managed by its founder, Ignacio Rivarola.

Since 1996, it has produced more than 510,000 heads of fed cattle. It has the required infrastructure, experience and knowledge to have a productive feedlot.
